I just had a good faith estimate done for a home loan, the closing costs reach almost $9,744.00!!! My loan advisor told me that the seller can pay the closing cost. Is this normal? Does it depend on how bad the seller wants to get rid of the property?

Buyers have closing costs. What about the seller? This is based on a home sale by owner, no real estate agent involved.

Will a lender pay for closing cost on a lender owned home?

I have been keeping an eye on this property that has been lender owned for several months. Its at a really low price now and in an area where homes are not selling well b/c there are so many. I want to get into this home (my first) with no money down and no money out of pocket for closing costs.

How likely is the lender to either cover closing costs or drop the home price even more? (I’ve heard its easy to negotiate a lower price on a lender owned)
